2017-2018 Meeting Schedule and Speakers

Astronomical presentations are held at each of ASGH’s business meetings.  Speakers have included current or former members, astronomy faculty and graduate students from area universities, or invited guests.  Topics for these presentations, shown below, are wide-ranging and are chosen to be of interest to amateur astronomers of all levels.

The March meeting is NOT on the third Wednesday at CCSU, it is on Tuesday, 27 of March at the Van Vleck Observatory classroom. It will begin at 6:30 and end at 7:30PM. After the meeting members and guests can attend the Sturm Lecture, an astronomy related annual lecture nearby at Wesleyan University( walking distance from observatory to the lecture hall). Parking can be at the Wyllis Ave parking lot or on Vine Street, adjacent to the tennis courts.
